Hi Everyone!

Some people have been absent this week due to having Monday and Tuesday off.

Here's what we did in science class:

Wednesday:
we worked on our Earth Resources cover page and emptied our binder of all GP papers. We also did a textbook scavenger hunt of the new text.

Thursday:
Popcorn activity- class demonstration about non renewable resources and how they can get used up and cannot be replaced by the earth

Friday:
LORAX- symbolism-

ex: fake trees in the LORAX represent the future environment if we keep destroying ours in real life
Ex: bottled air and Mr. O'Hare represent the ECONOMY and money- all they want is money

STEM EARTHQUAKE STRUCTURE ALTERNATE GRADED ACTIVITY

Must read the articles and take 10 notes.

·        Then, write an 8 sentence paragraph on google docs and share with Miss Klein for a substitution grade. You should write about if you had unlimited materials and money, how would you design an earthquake safe sky scrapper. Why would you make the decisions you made?

Make sure your paragraph contains the following design aspects:
