1.     What is a NONRENEWABLE resource?

2.    You, your Mother, your Grandmother, and your Great Grandmother- How many generations are present?

3.    What happened to the total amount of the resource popcorn?

4.    How much was left for each successive generation?

5.    Was anything left for the fourth generation?

6.    Did any of the kids that were part of the demonstration think about those who might be after them, or were they only trying to get as much popcorn as they could?

7.    What other resources could this happen to in the real world?

8.    If a resource is RENEWABLE, does that mean it will continue to exist no matter what people do?

9.    What two factors would you say are most important in determining how fast natural resources are used? (Think in this demo- how many people use the resource and the amount each person yeses is important in thinking about how fast resources are used up!)

10.  You have 15 dollars to buy 15 pieces of popcorn. What if there were only 10 pieces of popcorn left, but you needed 15 to survive?  What would happen?
